Terms of Attendance and Participation

Last Revised: February 9, 2025

As a registered attendee or participant ("you") in the Heritage NYC Family Office Summit (the "Event"), you agree to these terms and conditions (collectively, the "Agreement") with Heritage LLC ("Heritage"). If you are completing registration on behalf of another individual, you confirm that you have made the attendee or participant aware of this Agreement and that they have accepted these terms and conditions.

1. Attendee Requirements:

  • Admittance. Your registration entitles you only to admittance to the Event. All other costs associated with your attendance (e.g. travel and accommodation expenses) are your sole responsibility, and Heritage shall have no liability for these costs.
  • Use of Likeness. By attending the Event, you grant Heritage the right to record, photograph, or capture your likeness in any media and to use or distribute such media for promotional or informational purposes in perpetuity, without additional approval or compensation.
  • Event Content. Heritage reserves the right to make changes to the Event at its sole discretion, including but not limited to changes to the Event name, theme, program, content, speakers, moderators, venue, or schedule.
  • Identification. A valid form of photo identification must be presented at check-in.
  • Attendee Badge Usage. Badges must be worn at all times within designated Event spaces.
  • Visa Requirements. It is your responsibility to comply with applicable visa requirements. Failure to do so is not grounds for a refund.
  • Professional Conduct. You are expected to treat staff, speakers, attendees, and vendors with integrity, fairness, and respect. This includes honoring the values, cultures, and beliefs of others and complying with any reasonable instructions from Heritage staff during the Event.

2. Prohibited Conduct:

  • Inappropriate Behavior. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, and any threatening or abusive language or behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Limitations on Use. Badges are non-transferable. Selling, trading, or sharing your badge may result in cancellation of your registration without refund.
  • Photography and Recording. Audio and video recording of Event sessions is not permitted. Photography is allowed in general Event areas for personal or company use (e.g. internal reports, marketing).
  • Denial of Admission. Heritage reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual from the Event at its discretion.
  • Unauthorized Digital Access. Any attempt to tamper with, hack, or access Event software or platforms without authorization may result in immediate cancellation of attendance and forfeiture of any associated participation or sponsorship, without refund.

3. Fees:

  • Payment. All fees must be paid at the time of registration. Heritage may refuse entry if payment is not received in full.
  • Taxes. Applicable taxes may be added to your registration fee.
  • No Retroactive Adjustments. Registration fees will not be adjusted after payment, regardless of new discounts or special rates introduced.
  • Discount and Special Rates. Special rates must be applicable to the individual at the time of registration. If Heritage determines that you do not meet the criteria, your ticket may be canceled or charged the difference. This determination is at Heritage’s sole discretion.
  • Discount Codes. Discount codes are not valid for onsite registrations and may not apply to certain promotions.

4. Cancellation, Substitution, and Badge Policy:

  • Nonrefundable Fees. Registration fees are nonrefundable under any circumstances.
  • No Fee Transfers to Future Events. Registrations and fees cannot be transferred to future Heritage events.
  • Speakers. Attendees who later become speakers are not entitled to a refund of previously paid fees.
  • Badge Issuance. Once issued onsite, badges cannot be reprinted, substituted, or reassigned.
  • No Sponsor Conversions. Registered attendees may not convert their ticket into a complimentary sponsor pass.
  • Substitutions. Transfers to another individual from your organization may be possible before a specific cut-off date. Please contact Heritage for information on the substitution deadline and process.

5. Privacy Policy:

6. Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability:

  • Heritage gives no warranties in respect of any aspect of the Event or any materials related thereto or offered at the Event and, to the fullest extent possible under the laws governing this Agreement, disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, and merchantability. The Event is provided on an "as-is" basis. Heritage does not accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by you or any person on any aspect of the Event or any information provided at the Event.
  • Except as required by law, Heritage shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential costs, damages or losses arising directly or indirectly from the Event or other aspect related thereto or in connection with this Agreement.
  • The maximum aggregate liability of Heritage for any claim in any way connected with, or arising from, the Event or this Agreement, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise (including any negligent act or omission), shall be limited to the amount paid by you to Heritage under this Agreement.
